The Michigan Geological Basin is the Sedimentary Strata buildup of an ancient tropical sea which once was located near the equator. Simply put, the Michigan Basin consists of Several bowl-shaped layers of various age and texture rock, nested much like a set of mixing bowls. In these bowls, Mother Nature has hidden trapped oil and natural gas deposits in abundance.
